Onaro’s VM Insight builds on SANscreen’s existing service path awareness and change management capabilities in the data center to provide VM teams further visibility into the networked storage supporting their virtualized servers. VMs have the potential to dramatically improve datacenter economics, but introduce a set of challenges as well. VM Insight is a cross-domain application for both VM system and storage administrators that spans virtual server and traditional server deployments. VM Insight provides IT organizations with the information needed to optimize the risk/reward equation in VM implementations in order to maximize server consolidation while minimizing server consolidation risk.
