eG VM Monitor
Listing updated: May 31, 2008
The eG VM Monitor offers an outside view of how the VMs are using a physical server, and an inside view of what is happening inside a VM, using In-N-Out monitoring technology. This technology offers insights into the cause of performance problems in a virtual infrastructure.
A single agent for monitoring the ESX server and all its VMs. The agent license is independent of the number of VMs on an ESX server or the hardware capabilities of the server (i.e., number of processors, sockets, etc.). Support for agent-based and agentless monitoring of VMware infrastructures. And more...

Netuitive SI self-learns the normal operating behavior and resource profiles of ESX servers and VMs – without any manually created rules, scripts or thresholds. By continuously analyzing and correlating live streaming data from all monitored components, Netuitive automatically identifies any “badly behaving” VM impacting performance of the ESX server. Plus, Netuitive understands normal hourly and daily performance variations, enabling it to forecast degradations up to two hours in advance.

The nworks Management Pack for VMware extends the reach of Microsoft Systems Center Operations Manager (Ops Mgr 07 and MOM 05) into VMware Infrastructure 3. Completely agentless from a VMware perspective, the nworks solution utilizes native VMware Infrastructure 3 interfaces to remotely gather information from the ESX server farm and VMware VirtualCenter – with no agents on the Host or the Guest. The nworks Management Pack for VMware provides performance, event, state, configuration and topology – including a dynamic service map for OpsMgr 2007. If Microsoft agents are loaded in on the Guests, that data is correlated with the data the nworks MP collects.

Scalent's Virtual Operating Environment (V/OE) software lets you change which servers are running, what software stacks your servers are running, and how those servers are connected to network and storage, without needing to make physical machine, cable, LAN connection or SAN access changes.
This means that server repurposing becomes nearly instantaneous, as changing system function and topology does not require touching physical cables or machines. You can rack once, cable once, then reconfigure repeatedly, as needed. Failover is automatic, and your data center functionality matches your data center diagram - what you see is what you get.

Enterprise Compliance Manager is a product that combines asset inventory, software usage, contract terms, PO data, and license compliance management to optimize your software investment and ensure enterprise-wide license entitlement. ECM's License Compliance Engine takes input from multiple data sources—inventory, usage, procurement/financial systems, and applies ManageSoft's Application Recognition Library (ARL) to this set of data to determine what licensed applications are installed. The engine reconciles what you own against what you have installed. Complex license types are understood in conjunction with the computing environment (virtual machines, multi-core, etc.).
