When you manage a Hyper-V host locally using VMConnect, each VMConnect windows uses approximately 60MB of RAM. So managing the Hyper-V host from the console and opening multiple VMConnect windows can use up memory that you might need for the next virtual machine.
By using a Hyper-V management station and running the VMConnect windows from that machine instead of the host saves valuable memory.
You can use Windows Server 2008 machine with the Hyper-V management tools installed or Vista SP1 machine with the RSAT and Hyper-V management tool installed for remote management.
