Tip explains how you can disable RunAs Accounts created in SCVMM from command line.

You can disable RunAs accounts created in SCVMM using Disable-SCRunAsAccount PowerShell cmdlet. A disabled RunAs account cannot be used by VMM. To disable a RunAs account, run below listed PowerShell commands on VMM computer:

  • $RunAsAccountName = Get-SCRunAsAccount -Name "AccountName"
  • Disable-SCRunAsAccount -RunAsAccount $RunAsAccountName

First command collects the RunAs Account name and stores in $RunAsAccountName variable. Second command (Disable-SCRunAsAccount) disables the RunAs Account.
