With the release of WIndows Server 2012 Microsott also introduced a new High Availability feature for the RD Connection Broker role, which is active-active. This features uses a SQL Server instance. This introduces a new SPOF, the SQL Server. To overcome this there are several options to also make you SQL Server Highly Available.
